Campaign trailer stolen from Oklahoma County's District 2
Commissioner Brian Maughan
Oklahoman - January 14, 2012
District 2 Oklahoma County Commissioner Brian Maughan is offering a
$200 reward to anyone who can find or return a trailer he uses for
his campaign.
The small, flatbed utility trailer was stolen Thursday from
Maughan's south Oklahoma City home.
It carries a sign advertising his candidacy.
“I can't imagine what value this would have to anyone,” Maughan said
in a news release. “The thieves cut through a trailer hitch chain
and just hauled it away. I suppose it might be worth a few bucks for
salvaged metal.”
Maughan asks anyone with information about the trailer to call
824-3120.
Maughan is running for re-election to his post this year.

Maughan says campaign
trailer swiped, offers reward for return
(Released: Friday, January 13, 2012)
Oklahoma County Commissioner Brian Maughan today said someone stole
a campaign trailer from his driveway in south Oklahoma City, and
he’s offering a $200 reward for anyone who finds and locates it.
“I can’t imagine what value this would have to anyone,” Maughan said
of the trailer, a flat platform with a Maughan campaign sign on top.
“The thieves cut through a trailer hitch chain and just hauled it
away. I suppose it might be worth a few bucks for salvaged metal.”
Maughan said the thieves apparently took the trailer from the
driveway of his home near SW 40 and Pennsylvania sometime between 9
a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursday, when his father, who lives nearby, noticed
it missing.
Maughan said he will pay a $200 reward for anyone whose information
leads to recovery of the trailer.
“I was planning to use it at public events and parades again this
year during my re-election campaign,” the District Two county
commissioner said.

The Oklahoman
The holiday season is all about giving — not only to your family and
friends, but also to those who need a little extra help.
That's especially true this year, with the economy still struggling
to recover and continued high unemployment rates. Oklahoma has
suffered less than many other states, but there are plenty of people
in financial need, and contributions to some local charities are
down this year.
